[GIVEAWAY] Lessons from Paige: The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

Hi guys, for my first post for The Start of Em and You Week, I decided to talk about how Paige and her story made me have a kind of revelation – one that’s made me more accepting and fearless about my own life. Read on for my thoughts about The Start of Me and You, Emery’s latest novel, and for an AMAZING handpainted book tote giveaway! TELL ME, WHAT IS IT YOU PLAN TO DO WITH YOUR ONE WILD & PRECIOUS LIFE? -Mary Oliver In the past year, I’ve continually noticed this quote in the footer of Emery Lord’s website, and […]

An Open Letter to My YA Self [+ A Contemporary Giveaway!]

Hi all, today I’m participating in GReads! Open Letter to My YA Self feature. When I saw that Ginger was doing something special with contemporary lovers, I knew I had to get in on it. Not only do I love her blog, but one of the reasons I read YA is because I feel like those high school years were so formative in my life, and every time I read something that taps into who I was then, it feels monumental.  To write this letter, I went back to my old diaries to see what I was thinking about writing […]

That One Book…

Everyone has that one book. You know, that book that you absolutely loved but no one else seems to know anything about. The book that almost seems like your best-kept secret, even though you’ve told a ton of people to read it. And maybe it was a series that didn’t get the best pick-up so it might have been shelved. Or maybe the people around you don’t read in the same genre. Or maybe they do and they just didn’t like it as much as you did. And you don’t know why people don’t love it as much as you […]

Blog Break: On Vacation!

Hi all, just a quick note to let you know that I’ve been on Christmas holidays and am now heading off to Cuba for a few days of sun and reading! Hope you all have an amazing week. I will have a review or two up next week while I’m gone, but I won’t be responding to a lot of comments or tweets. But rest assured, lots of books will be read and reviews will be ready to be posted when I come back. Thanks for sticking with me, and happy new year! Love, Tiff

Friday Rants: Blogger Guilt and a Blog Manifesto

Disclaimer: this post is really for me. Proceed if you want something personal; do not pass go if you’re not interested in my personal thoughts. Happy Friday, everyone! So even though I’ve had my new computer for almost three weeks, it took me awhile to get myself to write again. You may have noticed that despite my “I’m back” message last week, I wasn’t REALLY back until yesterday. This is because, frankly, it’s hard to come back to blogging after over a month away. As much as I love blogging and writing, I have to admit that having the time […]
