The Unexpected Everything was my first Morgan Matson book and I can safely say I’ll read anything she publishes at this point. She became an insta-buy after just one book.

  2. I started reading contemporary YA last year and Morgan has been one author that’s been repeatedly mentioned by friends and I just haven’t gotten a chance to read her books yet. However all that is going to change because I have all her books checked out from the library! Plus a friend gave me an ARC copy of Unexpected Everything so I plan to binge her books soon.

  3. Summer

Morgan Matson is one of my favorite contemporary authors. It’s so hard for me to choose between the three books of hers that I’ve read, maybe Second Chance Summer is my favorite, all of her books are really emotional, but I think that was the most emotional for me.

  4. I love Morgan’s books! She has a knack for capturing genuine emotion and making you fall for her characters. Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour is my favourite of hers, but The Unexpected Everything comes in a close second. 🙂

  5. My first and favourite is Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, but I’m currently reading Since You’ve Been Gone and I’m really enjoying it! Can’t wait to start The Unexpected Everything, it sounds lovely (:

  6. Joslyn Dechant

I’m dying to read The Unexpected Everything. My library has Since You’ve Been Gone and I plan to borrow it soon.

  7. Isabella

I am not a fan of hers yet but her books seem like really interesting summer reads, especially after seeing all the hype about The Unexpected Everything!

  8. Claire Lundin

I am a HUGE Morgan Matson fan…I am currently in the middle of The Unexpected Everything (it’s taking me longer to read than I would like as I am in currently in my High School’s musical, something Amy would appreciate), and while A&R is the first of her books I ever read so it has a very special place in my heart, I have re-read Since You’ve Been Gone more times than I should be willing to admit. I do not own Second Chance Summer, so I’ve only read it once (but I am DYING to read it again!)

  9. Dedra

I haven’t read a Mogan Matson book yet, but she’s been on my radar for a while. I love fun contemporaries!

  10. Destiny

I love Morgan Matson’s books! I love how relatable the characters are and the summer vibes her books have. I’ve only read Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour and Since You’ve Been Gone so far, but I’m trying to make my way through the list.

  11. Jenna

I love when you do these author weeks! Just finished up my first year of grad school and The Unexpected Everything is the first book I will be reading to celebrate.

  12. Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour was my first and very favorite Morgan Matson book. Though I’ve read them all, this one is still my very favorite. I also thoroughly enjoyed everything about Second Chance Summer, which was SO MANY FEELS! She’s a favorite author of mine, and for good reason… she’s amazing!! <3

I actually haven’t read a Morgan Matson book but I have heard such good things about all her novels! I’m most intrigued by her books because they seem like such awesome summer contemporary reads. I’ve also heard that some of her books have playlists strewn throughout and I’m a huge music fan!

  16. renee

I have not read any of her books but I am always excited to find a good series of YA books to read! Also, I’d like to share these with my oldest daughter.

  17. Kim

I’m her fan in that I think she’s an interesting person, but I haven’t read any of her books before. They’ve been getting such good buzz that I’m intrigued. Though I don’t normally go for YA contemps, I am always tempted by a good story regardless. 🙂
