Natalie Cleary must risk her future and leap blindly into a vast unknown for the chance to build a new world with the boy she loves. Natalie's last summer in her small Kentucky hometown is off to a magical start...until she starts seeing the "wrong things." They're just momentary glimpses at first--her front door is red instead of its usual green, there's a pre-school where the garden store should be. But then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn't right. That's when she gets a visit from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls "Grandmother," who tells her: "You have three months to save him." The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it's as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau. Emily Henry's stunning debut novel is Friday Night Lights meets The Time Traveler's Wife, and perfectly captures those bittersweet months after high school, when we dream not only of the future, but of all the roads and paths we've left untaken.
I absolutely adore everything about this synopsis for this book – the weird paranormal stuff, the Friday Night Lights feel, and yes, that stunning cover. It reminds me a bit of one of my favourite Roswell episodes, when the town starts disappearing and the “normal” teens have to deal with it (if you haven’t watched Roswell, you need to!).
Is The Love That Split the World on your TBR? What are you waiting for this week? Let me know and I’ll stop by!

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that book bloggers are eagerly anticipating.
That cover is gorgeous! The synopsis sounds interesting. I’m adding this to my TBR. Oh, I LOVE ROSWELL. Great pick!
We are WoW twins this week!! <33 This book sounds absolutely fantastic, and I'm so ridiculously sad that it comes out next year, ugh. I NEED to be holding this pretty book with, ahem, it's stunning cover in my hands ASAP. I'm loving the sound of the paranormal aspects in this one too- it's just barely alluded to in the synopsis, which has me very intrigued as to how big of a role it's going to play in the story, and how everything is going to come together.
Basically, I'm just REALLY EXCITED about this book.
Fantastic pick, Tiff! <33
