From an impressive sisterhood of YA writers comes an edge-of-your-seat anthology of historical fiction and fantasy featuring a diverse array of daring heroines.
Crisscross America — on dogsleds and ships, stagecoaches and trains — from pirate ships off the coast of the Carolinas to the peace, love, and protests of 1960s Chicago. Join fifteen of today’s most talented writers of young adult literature on a thrill ride through history with American girls charting their own course. They are monsters and mediums, bodyguards and barkeeps, screenwriters and schoolteachers, heiresses and hobos. I am so late with the WoW, but I just heard about it, and I’m in love. YA stories that talk about bad-ass women on the fringes throughout history? Seriously, sign me up!
I’ll be honest, I’ve only ever read Elizabeth Wein, Leslye Walton, and Marissa Meyer from this enormous list of authors, but I love them and I BELIEVE.
Is A TYRANNY OF PETTICOATS on your TBR? What are you waiting for this week? Let me know and I’ll stop by!

I don’t read many anthologies but I’d love to get into them more. Frankly, an anthology about kickass women throughout history sounds like the perfect way to accomplish that goal! I’m with you, this book sounds wonderful^^ I’ve only read Meyers out of the bunch though, so don’t feel too bad XD
I’m not really an anthology person either, but yeah, this just looks so so good that I was instantly excited.
This sounds amazing! Definitely adding to my TBR!

I just left a reply on yours (it looks so good, and yum, lemon pie) and Google ate it. Let me know if you fish it out? =P
I’m really excited for this one too! I actually got a copy from the publisher already and I can’t wait to start it. I hope you love it when you get the chance to read it!

Gah, I’m so jealous, it looks incredible. Hope you enjoy. I’ll have to check out your review!
I pre-ordered this one! I definitely cannot wait to check it out for myself, and I hope that I wind up really loving it 🙂
I featured this one a few weeks ago I think, so excited for it and all the awesome authors that are going to be in it. Great pick! You can check out my pick in the link below!
I am dying for this one too! I can’t believe all the awesome authors in this anthology. I’m not usually a big fan of short stories but I’ll make an exception for this one!
I’ve been waiting for this book for month! I love books that feature strong women and this one seems to be completely up my alley. Also, some of my fav authors wrote short stories for this.
I can’t wait to read this! Plus the cover is gorgeous!
I’ve never really been interested in historical fiction but this looks really interesting, I will definitely look into it!!
I’m so excited for A Tyranny of Petticoats—I already have it preordered! I’ve heard of a couple more authors than you have that are in this, but there are still more that I don’t know of than I do. It’ll be exciting to meet some new authors!
