Holy moly, it has been a long time since my last Stacking the Shelves post.
Here’s what happened on the blog this week:
- I’m giving away a January new release of your choice – go Rafflecopter it and let me know what you’re interested in reading this month!
- How’s this for a blast from the past? I reviewed JANIE FACE TO FACE, the last installment of Caroline B. Cooney’s The Face on the Milk Carton series. Guys, I’ve been reading these since I was, like, ten: “Hard-core fans of the Janie series will want to read this just to know how it all ends. And trust me, you will feel like you’ve gotten the ending you deserve.”
- My Waiting on Wednesday pick this week: another awesome book from Jen Calonita’s Belles series!
- One of my December most-anticipated reads: I reviewed THE ALMOST TRUTH by Eileen Cook, where I totally geeked out about her amazing writing: “Every single description and line felt like it had been deliberated over in order to get the exact tone that Cook wanted.”
And here’s what I’ve gotten since Christmas:
Gifted:
Used Amazon Kindle Keyboard 3G – which came loaded with the first four Mortal Instruments books by Cassandra Clare!
Thank you to Steph, Jer, Ben, Jacob, Susy and Elliot for feeding my reading addiction!
Bought:
Just One Day by Gayle Forman – via Chapters/Indigo – look out for my review next week!
The Friday Society by Adrienne Kress – via Toronto’s Bakka/Phoenix Bookstore from Adrienne’s awesome book launch party
For review:
I Forgot to Tell You by Charis Marsh – thank you, Dundurn Press!
ARC of The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd – won through EpicReads #BookCheer giveaway – thank you HarperCollins!
Borrowed from library:
The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith – so far, I’m only semi-into it. Waiting to be blown away.
eBooks:
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – borrowed from library for Toronto Forever Young Adult Book Club – REALLY loving this so far.
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris – bought
eARC of Mind Games by Kiersten White for review – thank you, HarperCollins Canada!
