Noteworthy by Riley Redgate | Review

Review: Wow, wow, wow. If you are not putting Noteworthy on your to-be-read list right now, you are missing out. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adored this a cappella-themed diverse, contemporary YA novel. It’s way WAY more than I expected it to be. I mean, yes, it’s a cute premise (cross-dressing to join a boys a cappella group? GIVE IT TO ME). Yes, it has an incredibly diverse and honest cast. Yes, it’s #ownvoices. But all of that doesn’t tell you just how deep author Riley Redgate goes to create rounded characters – characters who […]

History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera | Review

Review: History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera Reading an Adam Silvera book is like putting yourself into the laundry emotionally; every bump, twist and turn there could be was in History is All You Left Me. Like his debut, More Happy Than Not, the characters in this book were honest and real, but heartbreaking. Griffin and Theo were everything to one another – they were deeply in love. And then Theo moved away, moved on with another guy, and Griffin was devastated. But not as devastated as now – because Theo is dead now, and Griffin has […]

Back…But Still on Hiatus (Also, Wedding Photos!)

Hi guys, I’m finally back from my wedding and honeymoon! They were both incredibly eventful, with the latter being the craziest. Unfortunately, at the end of our honeymoon, my husband’s and my laptops and my camera were stolen (among other things). We lost all of our honeymoon photos and a lot of other personal stuff. We’re working to replace things, but it will take a few weeks. Because of that, Mostly YA Lit will continue to be slow as I don’t have a computer at home. My Kindle was also stolen, so I lost notes for a few books that […]
