Second Chance Summer | Review | #UnexpectedlyEpic #MorganMatsonWeek

Hi guys, welcome to Day 3 of Morgan Matson Week! Today I’m reviewing Second Chance Summer, Morgan’s sophomore novel, which I read for the first time just a few weeks ago. And WOW, do I have feels. Read on for more, and then, when you’re done feeling all the feels, check out Alexa Loves Books and Hello, Chelly for some lighter Morgan Matson fun with fashion! Impressions: Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour | #UnexpectedlyEpic #MorganMatsonWeek

Today for Morgan Matson Week, I’m taking you way, way back to the beginning of my love affair with Morgan Matson’s books to her debut, Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour. Each part of this post was written at a different time – weeks before re-reading, right before, and after. And, so you don’t think it’s just me who’s having a nostalgic moment, Ambur at Burning Impossibly Bright is […]

Waiting on Wednesday: Live Through This by Mindi Scott

“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that book bloggers are eagerly anticipating. This week’s pre-publication, “can’t-wait-to-read” book is a by an author I’ve never read: Live Through This by Mindi Scott Publisher: Simon Pulse Publication Date: October 2nd 2012  From Goodreads: From the outside, Coley Sterling’s life seems pretty normal . . . whatever that means. It’s not perfect—her best friend is seriously mad at her and her dance team captains keep giving her a hard time—but Coley’s adorable, sweet crush Reece helps distract her. Plus, she has a great […]

This is So Not Happening by Kieran Scott

Someone else on Goodreads said that she knew she was going to dislike this book, but she read it anyway and love-hated it. I feel the same way. Kieran Scott really knows how to tug at your heartstrings, and how to realistically portray teenagers. This Is So Not Happening has one of the best portrayals of teen pregnancy I’ve ever read. It wasn’t from the perspective of the mother, which made it unique and interesting. I didn’t like it, I didn’t want to read about it, but Scott did a great job showing how people reacted, and how things changed […]
