ARC Review: The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle

The Infinite Moment of Us Author: Lauren Myracle (website | twitter) Publisher: Amulet Books Source: eARC from Netgalley Expected publication date: August 20, 2013 (tomorrow!) My rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars Goodreads synopsis: For as long as she can remember, Wren Gray’s goal has been to please her parents. But as high school graduation nears, so does an uncomfortable realization: Pleasing her parents once overlapped with pleasing herself, but now… not so much. Review: Eldritch Manor by Kim Thompson

Eldritch Manor Author: Kim Thompson Publisher: Dundurn Press Format: Paperback, 176 pages (a finished copy was provided by Dundurn Press) Publication date: October 23, 2012 My rating: 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. Review: My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Publication Date: June 14, 2012 Format: Hardcover, 395 pages My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was a beautifully told summer tale of first love, family and morals. That makes it sound pretty boring, huh? But there’s nothing boring about Samantha and Jase’s first love. We’re talking smoldering, kids. Even The Atlantic Wire has this on its list of books that are sexier than Fifty Shades of Grey Ok, synopsis: Samantha has always watched the huge, rambunctious Garrett family since they moved in. Her mom, a state senator, has always implicitly forbidden her to do so because the Garretts seem uncivilized to […]

Unbreak My Heart by Melissa C. Walker

This is one of my favorite summer 2012 reads. It has heart, it has depth, it has lightness, and it has the sweetest romance ever. Walker has absolutely triumphed with this book. What really got me was how REAL everything seemed, especially the characters. Clementine, the protagonist, felt very much like me as a teenager. James, the love interest, was the perfect complement to her rawness – he was joyful and jovial, but in a way that felt both masculine and flawed. The secondary characters of her family and the other boating people were so full and rich and authentic […]
