Hi all, happy April! I’m delighted to be showing you the March 2017 Uppercase Box!

This is my last review of Uppercase Box, and I have to tell you: I’m super sad that it’s not continuing. I’ve ADORED working with Uppercase Box founder Lisa Parkin, and obviously, the boxes have been amazing.

New York Times bestselling author Meagan Spooner spins a thoroughly thrilling Beauty and the Beast story for the modern age, expertly woven with spellbinding romance, intrigue, and suspense that readers won’t soon be able to forget.
Beauty knows the Beast's forest in her bones—and in her blood. After all, her father is the only hunter who’s ever come close to discovering its secrets. So when her father loses his fortune and moves Yeva and her sisters out of their comfortable home among the aristocracy and back to the outskirts of town, Yeva is secretly relieved. Out in the wilderness, there’s no pressure to make idle chatter with vapid baronessas…or to submit to marrying a wealthy gentleman. But Yeva’s father’s misfortune may have cost him his mind, and when he goes missing in the woods, Yeva sets her sights on one prey: the creature he’d been obsessively tracking just before his disappearance. The Beast.
Deaf to her sisters’ protests, Yeva hunts this strange creature back into his own territory—a cursed valley, a ruined castle, and a world of magical creatures that Yeva’s only heard about in fairy tales. A world that can bring her ruin, or salvation. Who will survive: the Beauty, or the Beast?

This month’s book is Hunted by Meagan Spooner, which is a Beauty and the Beast retelling. As I mentioned in my video, I hadn’t heard of this one at all, but I’ve been pretty obsessed with BatB since watching the live-action Disney movie (Dan Stevens, be still my heart!). I’m looking forward to digging into this fairy tale!

The Accessory:

I am IN LOVE with these Jane Austen socks from Socksmith – the colours, the quote, the Jane Austen cameo. They’re perfection, and I’ve already worn them twice since getting them!

The Swag:

bella-adele-co-print-uppercase-box-march-2017This gold foil art print with childhood favorites is by Bella Adele Co, and it’s TO DIE FOR. I really, really love it, and I’m trying to find the perfect place in my house to put it. I’ve since looked through the Bella Adele Co website and everything is this gorgeous!

I love how silly but awesome this Book Hoarder sticker by Nerdy Post is – the calligraphy is great! I’m not a huge dragon fan, but I like it a lot, and I might gift this to a special friend.

The Every Time

As I mentioned in my last two Uppercase Box posts, Lisa always includes both a personalized note, which I love. This month’s was gorgeously written – I read it in my unboxing video!

In addition, there is always a bookmark that is part of the reading experience when you participate with Uppercase. You go to the website listed when you get to each page number, and type in the word code. There, you’ll find questions, polls, and videos that correspond to that moment in the book.

Shipping & Experience

I talked about the cost a few posts back. For shipping, March was actually super fast – this came before the end of the month!

The Final Word:

The March 2017 Uppercase Box is probably my favorite of my three boxes – I love usable book accessories and pretty book art! I also loved getting a signed copy of Hunted by Meagan Spooner –  a new book that is in line with my taste, but something outside of my comfort zone. As always, Lisa’s note was lovely, and I felt like I was getting something from a friend.

This is the last of my Uppercase Boxes from this sponsorship, and while I can’t afford it right now, I’m definitely going to be thinking hard about getting a subscription as soon as I can.

What do you think about March 2017’s Uppercase Box? If you watched my video, thoughts? Are you into subscription boxes? Have you read Hunted by Meagan Spooner? Are you also in love with those Jane Austen socks? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I love this box so much! One day I will save up enough to buy Uppercase 🙂
I’m excited to read Hunted too! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

  2. So curious about “Hunted.” It sounds fabulous!!! Hopefully it will be – plus, as you say the fact that it’s a BATB retelling leaves me curious. Oh, and Dan Stevens as the Beast??? *swoon*
