“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that book bloggers are eagerly anticipating.

This week’s pick is one probably most of you have heard about already…
Publication date: April 15, 2014

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them–all at once?

Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved; five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

Since I’m a huge contemp fan, it’s no surprise that this is on my list of most wanted books this year. I really enjoyed Jenny’s Summer books (especially the last one!), but I like the premise of this book even better.
I was totally a girl who wrote in a diary, and sometimes, I would write letters to the people I had crushes on. Reading this book is going to be both a flashback and a little bittersweet – which is kinda what I think Jenny does best.
I’m so curious to find out what Lara Jean’s loves are going to think of the letters – I would be mortified, but it sounds like maybe it works for her? Fingers crossed that she finds a good guy out of all of this.
Also, I LOVE this cover. I love the whiteboard marker letters, the room, and the fact that the girl is most definitely Asian. Go, diversity in YA!
Are you excited for TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE? Did you ever write letters to crushes? Are you a Jenny Han fan? What are you waiting for this week? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I'm so excited for this book! Probably because I can totally relate with the concept of the story. I'm the type of girl who harbors a crush and never confesses them! Lol ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm really intrigued to what will happen once those guys get her letters. There's so many possibilities and I can't wait to find out what they will be ๐Ÿ™‚
