Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish to highlight a top ten list related to book blogging, and to get to know fellow book bloggers.

SO many awesome books on my list this fall! In no particular order…

Upcoming Releases:

Just One Year by Gayle Forman. Release date: Oct 10 – My most anticipated book of the year. I haven’t had that much time to re-read this year, but I’ve made time for Just One Day because it affected me THAT deeply. I need the conclusion NOW.
Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund. Release date: Oct 15 – I already have an ARC of this, and I’m fully anticipating that this is going to be my favourite DP YA book yet. If you haven’t read For Darkness Shows the Stars, the companion, or Diana’s FREE short story prequel to this, you MUST GO READ THEM RIGHT NOW.
United We Spy by Ally Carter. Release date: Sept 17 – I’m sure this is on a LOT of people’s lists, but seriously, the conclusion to her six-book Gallagher Girls series? I’m pretty sure I’m going to just have FEELS.
Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Release date: Oct 22 – ‘Nuf said.
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater. Release date: Sept 17 – I was kind of surprised by how much I loved The Raven Boys, the first book in this cycle, but trust me when I say that Stiefvater is a master of poetic prose. I can’t wait to get lost in her words again.

Already Released:

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey – I’m reading this for the Forever Young Adult book club here in Toronto and I’m SO excited. I’ve heard great things, and even though I’m like, “Aliens? WHAT?”, I’m willing to give it a try.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer – I know, I know. I have to get to this. I started reading it months ago but didn’t have time to finish because of my blog schedule, but it was so compelling and I’m desperate to get back to it.
Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan – Levithan writes life-changing books, and I’ve heard that this latest release is one of his best.
Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill – Really want to read this before her next book, Being Sloane Jacobs, comes out in January.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas – I bought this last year because I heard so many good things…and still haven’t gotten to it. It sounds like an awesome fantasy that will appeal to a newbie like me. Plus. the heroine sounds like such a badass!
What’s on your Fall TBR list? Are you super excited to read any new or older releases? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I loved Cinder, but I just felt okay about The 5th Wave – it was good, but it didn't live up to the hype, at least for me. I, too, have Two Boys Kissing and Allegiant (duh) on my TBR list, although Two Boys Kissing didn't make my top ten this week.

  2. Cinder is great. I hope you do devote time to it, because wow! And Scarlet, too. Meant to Be is super cute. I'm curious about The Star-Swept Sea. I'm not sure if I will love the setting, but The Scarlet Pimpernel is a favorite story of mine.

    Happy Autumn Reading 🙂

  3. I'm glad you mentioned that Lauren Morrill also wrote Being Sloane Jacobs because I was looking at the cover of Meant to Be above and thinking "Wait, isn't that the cover of BSJ?" Looking it up on Goodreads, it's not the exact same cover but it's similar. I think I'll go read that one while I'm waiting to hear if I get approved for BSJ.
